Breastfeeding 101 - Starting Out Right

This class will address the fundamentals of breastfeeding and how to ensure your breastfeeding relationship gets off to a wonderful start. You will learn various nursing positions, proper latch-on techniques, prevention techniques to common breastfeeding issues, how to determine if baby is getting enough, and so much more.

Expecting moms and their spouses/partners are encouraged to attend class together. The mother may be the one to physically nurse the baby, but one of the keys to a successful breastfeeding relationship is to start with strong and knowledgable partner support.

Breastfeeding and Working: You Can Do It!

This class will address working outside of the home while continuing to foster your breastfeeding relationship. You will learn about various breast pumps, strategies for adjusting milk supply, instances when supplementing may become necessary, educating your employer on the benefits of being a nursing mother, and more!

This class is designed for moms that are 3-6 weeks post-partum (or later, if you're returning to work later). Babies are ALWAYS welcome and are encouraged to be present.

Private/Specialized Breastfeeding 101 - For Moms on Bed Rest

Are you following doctor's orders for bed rest? Do you wish you could take a Breastfeeding class, but you're not allowed to leave the house? This class is perfect for you! The most common reason for bed rest is to stop premature labor. Knowing that there is a possibility that the baby may come earlier than expected, this class addresses not only the topics of Breastfeeding 101, but also examines the fundamentals of breastfeeding the special needs baby (premie). All you need is a TV, a DVD player and a VCR. I will supply the rest!

I recommend that your spouse/partner be available for this special class, as his/her support will play a very important role in breastfeeding your newborn.

Payments for classes are accepted via the internet by credit card or Paypal. Paypal is always preferred. If you do not have a Paypal account and wish to pay via check or cash, please contact me and we will see what arrangements can be made. I am always flexible. If the cost is an issue, again, contact me and we will see if a payment schedule of some kind will work. Getting you off to the best start possible with regards to breastfeeding is my main goal.
